Belleau Bear Camp Promise & Check Out Requirements

✨Our promise to you:

We will provide you with a wonderful cabin in the woods by the lake in New Hampshire. It will be clean, well stocked, and come with linens, towels, and all the bathroom items one might need – yes, even sanitary items and a hair drier.

☀️Need sunscreen or bug spray? We got you! Looking for an egg slicer, marshmallow sticks, or a blender? Just check the kitchen drawers.

No need to pack inflatables, sand toys, beach chairs, koozies, or even goggles or a beach cart. It’s all there for you because we know how it is to travel with kids or a large group. Heck, we even have Barbies and Legos.

And no, we didn’t forget the rest of the travelers, multiple A/C units for the summer will keep you cool, and the books, puzzles, art supplies, and games will keep everyone entertained.

❄️And in the winter? Belleau Bear Camp switches things up and we swap our beach ready section in the basement into a snow sport rack. Here you’ll find 4 snowshoes, for all sizes, a couple of sleds, and yes, hand warmers. You can safely leave your skis or snowboards and boots in the house, rather than in your freezing car.

All of that to say, we will make sure that you can truly relax, not over pack, and focus on making memories.

As a family, we bought this cabin to do a bit of the same as well…when we’re not fixing things up around the place…so when you stay at Belleau Bear Camp, we simply ask you to respect the cabin and neighborhood.

That doesn’t mean mopping or any extensive cleaning, our wonderful cleaner who is local to the association, is the one who gets the cabin ready & ensures that when you walk in the door you can breathe out and say, “We’re at camp!”

So in return, what we do ask of our guests is the following:

  • Check out is at 11 am
  • Sign out of your TV accounts
  • Make sure to check behind doors & in drawers to ensure you haven’t forgotten anything
  • Trash & Dishes – We just ask that you are respectful & tidy
    • Please place all recycling and trash bags into the bins by the side of the house
    • Bring all used towels down to basement.
      • We used to ask that beds be stripped but have adjusted the ask
    • Please don’t leave any dirty dishes in the sink
      • Being in the woods it’s quite easy to have ants to take over if food is left out
  • Unplugging things:
    • Please make sure that the coffee pot is unplugged
    • Make sure that the oven knobs are OFF and the red light is OFF
    • If the pellet stove was used, please make sure it is unplugged
    • If you kicked up the thermostat upstairs to warm up the loft, please leave it at 55
    • If you used any fans or window A/C units, please unplug them/turn them off
    • Please make sure string lights have the green cap on the plug end to prevent water damage (in the warmer months)
  • Please close any open windows & lock the door on your way out

We thank you for treating our cabin like your own home. We have poured our hearts into Belleau Bear Camp and we love hosting families and groups and hearing about your experiences in our little neck of the woods.
